As 2010 is the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures, UNESCO organizes Recognizing Our Cultural Heritage, An American and Flemish Dialogue

This Paris exhibition shows 46 human scale photo portraits by Alan Govenar, various photo series and videos.

The exposition “highlights transatlantic cooperation, thus affirming the importance of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage for the sense of continuity and collective identity it provides to communities in the 21st century”, as UNESCO states.

Recognizing Our Cultural Heritage is a collaboration of Documentary Arts, an American non-profit organization, and FARO, the Flemish interface for cultural heritage in Belgium. The exhibition takes place until April 26th at the UNESCO Headquarters, located at Salle des pas perdus 7, place de Fontenoy, Paris 75007.
